ATKV SIT-RUS STASIE – Brand New Stage
ATKV brings powerful children’s theatre to the SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees 2026
We are excited to welcome the ATKV (Afrikaanse Taal- en Kultuurvereniging) to this year’s SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees, where they will present a meaningful and engaging children’s theatre experience.
ATKV plays an active role in communities across South Africa by promoting language, the arts, and addressing important social issues through creative platforms. One of their most impactful tools is children’s theatre, which makes complex topics accessible while inspiring imagination, empathy, and confidence in young audiences.

Featured production: “B” is vir boelies
In 2026, ATKV shines a spotlight on an important issue affecting schools and communities: bullying.
Their production, “B” is vir boelies, is a heartfelt and thought-provoking story that aims to:
- Create awareness around bullying
- Encourage open conversations
- Equip children with tools to recognise and address harmful behaviour
The story follows Bella, a creative 12-year-old girl who experiences bullying and learns, through imagination and self-belief, how to navigate and overcome it. Along the way, audiences are reminded that being different is not a weakness – but a strength.
More than just a performance
This initiative goes beyond the stage. ATKV’s approach focuses on:
- Building empathy and emotional awareness
- Providing practical strategies for schools and communities
- Empowering young people through storytelling and creativity
By combining education and entertainment, ATKV creates a safe and engaging space where important conversations can begin – and continue long after the performance ends.
A message that matters
“‘B’ is vir boelies also redefines what the letter ‘B’ can stand for — not just ‘bully’, but brave, bold, and brilliant.”
This uplifting message encourages children to embrace who they are and reminds us all of the power of kindness, understanding, and community.
Join us at the SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees 2026 and experience how the power of theatre can inspire change, spark conversation, and make a lasting impact.
